Goodbye, Old Friend"There's nothing we can do." The phrase I had been fearing all along, yet somehow deep within my conscience knew was coming. "He'll get better, don't give up hope!" Said my friends and loved ones...they were wrong, as I knew in my heart, yet was naive enough to believe them. I let my emotions overcome my intelligence, allowed false hope to cloud my judgment like I promised myself I would never do again.
